Workaround: Broadcom 43xx Card Problem in ubuntu 10.10(Maverik)

Problem in ubuntu 10.10 (Maverik) with the Broadband 43xx Wireless Card: Unable to download firmware for wireless.

Error Message:

Solution

Open the terminal and run the following command

sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-lpphy-installer
